He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace M. Brown and Toms; his wife Margaret M. Brown (Conroy); his siblings, Nancy Cooney (Richard), Russell Brown and Alan Brown; and his brothers-in-law, John Conroy (Jean) and Lawrence Conroy.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Lee Brown (Joanna M. Robin) of Crozet, Virginia, James Arthur Brown (Sookie Lyn) of Ashville and David Alan Brown (Rebecca) of Andover; and his siblings, Richard Brown (Barbara Jo) of York and Lorraine Doedema (Daniel) of Rensselaer. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home (1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the New Rural Cemetery (330 3rd Ave Ext, Rensselaer, NY 12144).
