He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Smail and Thelma June Smail; and his wife Mamie Ford. He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Hickey (Mike) and Sherri Lockwood; his siblings, David Smail (Vicki), Alan Smail (Barbara) and Linda Lillo-Norman; his uncle Louis Walter (Mary Ann); his grandchildren, Ronald, Vincent, Crystal and Yusef; and his great grandchild Izzy. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
