He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Matthew Traver and Dorothy Thompson Peterson; and his wife Valerie J. Mason Traver. He is survived by: his children, Robert W. Traver, Jr. (Lesley), Jeffrey M. Traver and Elizabeth J. Traver; his stepsons, Steven B. Harris (Charlotte) and Robert O. Harris (Fernanda); and his brothers, Thomas and Jack Traver.
