He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta Jones (La Mountain); his parents, Merrimon Jones and Florence Jones; and his brother Charles E. Jones. He is survived by: his children, Robert Jones Jr. (Maryann), John Jones (Darlene), Laurie Jones-Bliven (Dan) and Linda Mertlik (Chuck); and his sister Carolyn Van Amerongen.
