He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Stuart and Jessie Stuart (Armstrong); and his brothers, Clem, Donald, Bill, Jimmy and John Stuart.

He is survived by: his siblings, Margaret McNab and Tom Stuart; his nieces and nephews, Lynn Weaver, Nicole McNab, Lorraine Silver, Gillian Donald, Andrea Phillips, Laura Campbell, Donna Watt, Craig McNab, Stuart McNab, Rod Silver, Gordon Watt, Andrew Weaver and Ian Weaver; and his sisters, Mary Stuart, Sarah Watt and Jessie Silver.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Norman's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
