He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Zandt, and Ethel Van Zandt, Sr.; his son Glenn; and his siblings, Agnes Prior (Frank), Walter (Jane) and Floyd (Virginia).
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Van Zandt (DeRusso); his son Mark (Laurie); his stepson Walter Mucha; and his sister Judi Van Zandt. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
