She was predeceased by: her parents, James Brady and Jean Brady (Bender); her husband James D. Leahey; her daughter Jessica Leahey; and her parents-in-law, Frances Leahey (Burek) and J. Donald Leahey.
She is survived by: her pets, David and Ashley; her children, Jeffrey Leahey (Sarah) and Caitlin Leahey (Greg Kristan); her brother James Brady (Valerie); her granddaughter Meaghan Leahey; and her siblings-in-law, Bryan Leahey, Jeffrey B. Leahey, Christopher Leahey (Mina), Jane Reynolds and Brenda Leahey. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many close friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Karen's memory may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
