He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Rita Rose Symington; his wife Ida Connolly (Danner); his children, Michael (JoAnne Fabian), Gerald, Jr. (Patricia Casey), Karen Mack (Robert) and Steven (Colette Fontaine); his grandchildren, Michael Jr. (Junko), Matthew (Alexandria), Mitchell, Casey Anne (Ty), Christopher, Sean, Kierlyn Mack, Ryan Mack and Eva; his great grandchild Aurora; and his brothers, Gary Connolly (Carolyn) and Al Symington. He was also cherished by in-laws, nieces and nephews.
