We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2021, George R. Hewitt of East Greenbush, New York, born in Newburgh, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George J. Hewitt and Leona Hewitt (Baylash); his wife Joan Hewitt; his daughter Ellen Polito; and his sister Eileen Dennis.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Kolb, Susan Goldup and Glenn Hewitt (Kelly); his sisters, Karen Kirtley and Cheryl Carol; and his grandchildren, Charles "Joe" Kolb, Angela Plescia, Jennifer Riley, Marissa Jacobsen, Nicholas Goldup, Daniel Goldup, Matthew Goldup, Rebecca Sweeney, Alicia Hewitt and Chris Hewitt. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandson Friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in George's name to Commmunity Hospice 310 So. Manning Blvd Albany, NY 12208 Arrangements were entrusted to the Wm.
