It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Genevieve June DeGiule of East Greenbush, New York, born in Albany, New York, who passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Angelo DeGiule and Maria DeGiule (Bender) of Rensselaer; her husband James V. Abbott; her siblings, Dora Cummings (Edward), Mary Franze (Salvator), Louise DeGiule and Bernhardt DeGiule; and her niece Lynn Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Susan L. Butler (Maury Kohn) and James B. Abbott; her granddaughter Tiffany M. Butler; her great grandchild Harley Butler; her sister-in-law Joan DeGiule; her friends, Joan, Peggy and Kathy; and also Sharon. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
