With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Carpenter of East Fishkill, New York, born in Carmel, New York, who passed away on January 2, 2021 at the age of 47. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Carpenter and Lois Nannariello Elshafey; his children, Amber and Ty Carpenter; his siblings, Ken Carpenter (Nichole), Esra Elshafey and Emily Hakanson (Stephen); and his stepfather Mahmoud Elshafey. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, niece, nephews and cousins.
