He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Heywood and Thelma Heywood; his wife Mary Jane "Mike" Heywood; his children, Douglas Heywood (Peggy) of East Bethany, Richard Heywood of Tennessee, Bonnie Morgan (Kenneth) of Tennessee and Linda Page (Randy) of Batavia; his grandchildren, Sharan Demana (Ron), Brent Heywood (Valerie), Joe Hewitt (Jessica), Patrick O'Connor, Danielle Dosch (Tim), Shawn McGiveron, Chris Page (Megan), Amanda Krohn (Jason) and Ashley Fortney (Tony); his siblings, Roberta Carter, Daniel Heywood (Denise) of Florida, David Heywood (Mary Lee) of Illinois and Beverly Emerson; his brothers-in-law, Gerald Carter and Tom Emerson; and his daughter Kim McGiveron. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and 13 great grandkids.
