He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Deamer Sr. and Evelyn Deamer (Teater); and his siblings, Victor, Richard Deamer and Dorothy Olsen.

He is survived by: his wife Nellie Deamer (Lamphear); his children, Rebecca Deamer and Jeffrey Deamer; and his siblings, Joseph Deamer Jr. (Cathy) and Diane Deamer (Helen).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital.
