She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Arena and Elsie Restigini Arena; her husband Merle Thompson; her sons, Stephen and Randolph Thompson; and her siblings, Anna Michaels and Joseph Arena, Jr..
She is survived by : her children, Kimberly Slingerland (Kevin) and Jeffrey Thompson (Fran); her grandchildren, Shane Slingerland (Billie-Jo), Shelby Shaver (Doyle), Natoshia VanValkenburg (Kevin) and Shannon Shaver (Trent); her great grandchildren, Blake, Brody, Bradynn, Laiken, Molly and Chaselyn; and her sisters, Angelina Vinciguerra and Rosalie Azzue. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
