He was predeceased by: his son John Bermel (Sandy); his stepson Jeremy Komorek; his grandson David Caltagirone; and his siblings, Robert Bermel (Sally), Janice Bish (Rodney) and Patricia Neumeister (Roy).
He is survived by: his spouse Jean M. Bermel; his daughter Gina O'Neill; his stepson Jonathan Komorek (Nichole); his grandchildren, Ryan Caltagirone (Kayla), John Bermel Jr. and Renee Bermel; his great grandchildren, Tori, Easton, Layne, Makenzie, Paisley and Jaxon; and his sisters, Nancy Hunt (Kenneth), Sandra Richey (Benjamin), Vicki Tafelski (Dennis) and Linda Capaccio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kenneth Howe Funeral Home (64 Maple St, East Aurora, NY 14052). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
