He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Scott and Marjorie Scott. He is survived by: his wife Henrietta "Becky" Scott; and his children, Donna Timm (David), Paul Scott (Lucille) and Diane Kilts (Steven). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family encourages memorials to be made in Lowell's name to Calvary Heights Baptist Church.
