It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon E. Illig of East Aurora, New York, born in Kenmore, New York, who passed away on August 1, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria Harrington; and his siblings, Frank Illig (Mary) and Thomas Illig (Marcia). He is survived by: his children, Susan M. Certo, Peter J. Illig (Monique) and Nancy Lee Joly (Thomas); and his grandchildren, Peter, Michael Certo, Amelia (Dolan), Celeste, Grayson, Nathaniel Joly, Anna Witt, Emma and Timothy Illig. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
