She was predeceased by: her husband David H. Merkle; and her sisters, Dorothy Ruchalski and Lorraine Drews. She is survived by: her children, Gregory Merkle (Denise Marshall) and Christal Rosel (Steven); and her grandchildren, Joshua and Jonah Rosel. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the EMW Boys and Girls Club, 2080 Girdle Rd..
