He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Schmitt and Della Schmitt; his wife Ruth; and his son William Schmitt. He is survived by: his children, Janet Keegan (Stephen) and Daniel Schmitt (Angie Bolton); and his grandchildren, Ian, Meghan and Aidan Keegan.
