He was predeceased by: his spouse Ortensia Funk (Tensi); and his sister Patricia Burley (Robert). He is survived by: his children, Greg Funk (Lynn Yougman) and Karen Sakolish (Craig); his grandchildren, Arthur (Maya), Tim (Melanie), Jon (Jackie), Courtney (Chuck) and Kimberly; and his great grandchildren, Bennet and Avery.
