She was predeceased by: her father Mark; her grandparents, Dorothy and Theodore Stein; and her aunt Cathy Lyons (Jerry Yates). She is survived by: her mother Mary Stein; her brothers, Sean and Patrick; her grandmother Margaret Lyons (late Richard); and her aunts and uncles, Karen Goodman (Steve), Melissa Eyeington, Rick Lyons (Sheila), Jennifer Greco, Joseph Stein (Debbie) and Lori Stein. She is also survived by loving cousins and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kara's memory to St. Benedicts School.
