He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Burns and Margaret Mary Burns. He is survived by: his wife Karla; his child Devon Burns (Darren Kovalchik); and his siblings, Timothy Burns (Julie), Christopher Burns (Colleen) and Mary Anne Vaughn (Peter). He is also survived by nieces and a nephew.
