He was predeceased by: his siblings, Alice O'Halloran, Thomas Dunbar, Marjorie Kustra and Elizabeth Muldoon. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Dunbar; his children, John F. Dunbar Jr. (Terri), Jill A. Formella, Jeffrey A. Dunbar (Claudia) and James C. Dunbar (Kym); and his grandchildren, John III (Shane), Kelly, Kim Schenkel (Adam), Abigail, Jacob, Grace, Adam, Mary, Tyler, Mitchell, Samantha and Sabrina Eiterman (Eric). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
