He was predeceased by: his sister Jane Murray. He is survived by: his wife Mary Catherine "Kitty" Murphy; his children, Michael J. (Elizabeth), Thomas P. Murphy (Denise) and Colleen Broderick (Aaron); his grandchildren, James A. and Bridget C. Murphy; and his sisters, Joan Loree (William) and Mary Ann Donovan (John). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
