She was predeceased by: her husband Ludwig Edward Shimo; her children, Mary Jo Shahin (Steven) and Robert Shimo; and her siblings, Marshall Switzer (late Mary Ann) and Faith Crawford (late Denzil).

She is survived by: her children, David Shimo (Patricia), Linda Maldonado (late Angelo), Diane Riedel (Howard) and James Shimo; her grandchildren, Kristine Shimo (Brett Hamilton), Nicole Gruenauer (Scott), Michael Maldonado (Holly), Amy, Michelle, Brian Shahin (Nikki), James, Joseph, Victoria and Joshua Shimo; her great grandchildren, Tia, Arianna Shahin, Blake, Anna Maldonado and Aiden Hamilton; and her sister Mary Elizabeth Weil (late David). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and so many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dolores's memory to Swormville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies' Auxiliary.
