He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Mackowiak and Emilia Mackowiak (Wyszynski); his sister-in-law Joann Mackowiak (Ianello); and his nephew Scott Kowalski. He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Wlodarek); his children, Ronald B. Mackowiak of Chula Vista, Calif., Cheryl Foley (Bill) of Tonawanda and Tara Latona of Hilliard, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Michael, Kevin, Kerissa Mackowiak, Brittany Mackowiak, Jonathan Foley and Addison Latona; and his great grandchildren, Viviana, Elena and Camila.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his family to support his alma mater, Grove City College.
