He was predeceased by: his son Gary Davis; his grandson Scott Davis; and his sibling Marion. He is survived by: his wife Viola Davis; his children, Linda McCaffrey (Joseph) and Dale Davis (Carol); his grandchildren, Joseph McCaffrey, Jr. (Gina), Craig McCaffrey (Jennifer) and Trisha Clausen (Michel); his great grandchildren, Addison, Cashel, Joseph III and Griffin; and his siblings, Gen, Lucille, Eleanor and Helen.
