He was predeceased by: his daughters, Debra and Andrea. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie L. Tanner (Schaffhouser); his daughters, Tamara L. Tanner Everett (Jeff) and Becky A. Tanner Farley (Richard); his grandchildren, Carrie Langley (Jason), Joshua Langley (Cecelia), Amanda Hill (Adam), Travis Aldrich and Tom Aldrich (Kaylee); his sister Pat Specchio; his brothers-in-law, Steve Schaffhouser, Bob Schaffhouser, Art Schaffhouser, James Capogrossi and Dale Heichel; his close friends, Dick Coyle, Joe Seib and Tom Beecher; and his pet Buster Brown. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
