It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Edward Harwood of Duane, New York, born in Malone, New York, who passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Jack Harwood; his son Joel Harwood; his daughter-in-law Catherine Harwood (Levis); and his parents, Ernest Harwood and Luella Harwood (Barney).
He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Cathy" (Anderson); his children, James Harwood Jr. of Ventura, CA, Cana Tighe (Michael) of Duane and Paula Lawrence (Chad) of Whippleville; his daughter-in-law Barbara Harwood of Elizabethtown; his grandchildren, Paige, Taylor, Samantha, Clare, Catherine, Hugh, Paul, Tucker, Wynonia, Luella and Tye; his great grandchildren, Henry and Etta; and his sister Betty Green of Chateaugay Lake. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
