She was predeceased by: her parents, Walker Smith and Pauline Pierce Smith; and her brother Richard Smith. She is survived by: her close friend Leroy Tarbox; her sister Evelyn Brown (William); and her children, Jody Best (Richard), Jeffrey Hulbert (Julia), Joseph Hulbert (Audrey) and Jason Hulbert (Merrie). She is also survived by many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
