He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfredo Fontana and Maria Fontana; his wife Lillian Fontana; his significant other Kaaren Hoback; his sister Esther Fontana; and his children, Steve Fontana (Carla), Bob Fontana (Molly), Chris Fontana (Cindy), Tom Fontana (Linda) and Lynn Fontana-Maisel (David).

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Cady Fontana (Cap), Anne Fontana, Elizabeth Fontana, Mike Fontana (Heather), Jessie Fontana-Maisel, Dave Fontana, Renee Fontana, Max Fontana, Jake Fontana and Brenna O'Brien. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.

Any donations to honor Caesar's life should go to the Baden Powell Council of the Boy Scouts of America, an organization that Caesar participated in and loved dearly.
