He is survived by: his daughter Letecia Bates (Richard Harrington) of Dover Plains; his stepdaughter Cheryl Race (Phillip) of Dover Plains; his daughter Luz Valencia of Dover Plains; his brothers, Myron Bates of Amenia, Carlton Bates (Merium) of Poughkeepsie and Arthur Rivenburgh (Sally) of Dover Plains; and his grandsons, Brock and Shane Race.
