With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Steven W. Lakin of Dover Plains, New York, born in Sharon, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 9, 2024 at the age of 53. As Steven departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Steven may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Steven leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland J. "Porky" Lakin and Linda Lee Lakin (Cluff). He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Ann Strang; his brother Shawn Lakin of Missouri; his stepchildren, Amanda McGrath, Eric, Lisa and Michael Green; and his pet Monster. He is also survived by nine step-grandchildren.
