He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Dorothy Roake (Maynard); and his brother Wayne Roake. He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Mendez (German) of Dover Plains, NY, Brenda Mendez (Roberto) of Millerton, NY and Michelle Roake (Jim McDermott) of Wingdale, NY; his siblings, James Roake of Orlando, FL, Steven Roake of Albuquerque, NM, Susan Wood of Danbury, CT and Rose Ann Wilkerson of West Haven, CT.; his grandchildren, Britney, Laura Mendez, Marissa, Ashley, Justin, Navy, Dustin McDermott and Kelly Rogers; his great grandchildren, Lucas Castillo, Harper Rogers and Savanah Emerson; his nieces and nephews, Thomas, Jason, Kori Wilkerson, Ernie, Dorothy, Kelly, Chris, Kyle, Michael Wood, Jeffrey, Wade, Vicki, Stephanie and Jessica Roake; and his former wife Joyce Coffey of Dover Plains.
