It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Caruso of Dover Plains, New York, born in Stamford, Connecticut, who passed away on March 5, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Butkovsky and Ellen Butkovsky (Simochko); her husband Pasquale Caruso; and her brother George Budd. She is survived by: her children, Diane Judson (George) of Wingdale, NY, Debbie Emerson (John) of Dover Plains, Patrick Caruso (Joanne) of Sandy Hook, CT and John Caruso (Theresa) of Dover Plains; her sister Mary Malizia of Stamford, CT.; her grandchildren, Justin Emerson, Nikki Leinert, Nicholas, Alexander and Paige Caruso; her great grandchildren, Matthew, William O'Brien, Molly, Mason Leinert, Emmy and Jace Emerson; and her daughter Lydia O'Brien.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains followed by burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Dover Plains, NY, Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners International, C/O Dutchess County Shrine Club, 27 Hannay Lane, Glenmont, NY 12077.
