She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Donald Dixson and Mary Elizabeth Dixson (Jones); her mother-in-law June Martin; her siblings-in-law, Cynthia Abdallah, Gary Wheeler and Alan Matthews; her nephews, Rick Matthews and Joseph Wheeler; her children, Casey James of Dolgeville, John James III (Mary Alice Keator) of Burlington, Vt. and Erin James (Matthew Long) of Dolgeville; and her granddaughter Annabelle Lee-Davis (Cameron Lee-Davis) of Syracuse, N. Y..
She is survived by: her significant other John Ivan James Jr. of Dolgeville; and her siblings, Barbara Eckhardt (George "Hi" Eckhardt), Mary Wheeler, Robert Dixson (Vikki Dixson), Bonnie Murray and Emily Boyer (William Boyer). She is also survived by cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Miller-Plonka Funeral Home (30 Wolf St, Dolgeville, NY 13329).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dorothy's name to 13thirty Cancer Connect (13thirty.org/donate) or to the Dolgeville Forward Cat Program (dolgevilleforward.org/cat-project).
