It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Craig R. Smith Sr. of Dolgeville, New York, born in Gloversville, New York, who passed away on May 14, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald LeRoy Cool and Ida Mary Flanders Smith; his granddaughter Chloe; and his father-in-law Arthur "Sunny". He is survived by: his former wife Rosemarie Comstock; his wife Rose; his children, Jim Smith (Tina) of Van Hornesville, Tanya Smith (Mike) of Jordanville, Lillian Smith (Shawn) of St. Johnsville and Craig Smith, Jr. (Amy) of Salisbury Center; his sister Mary K. Hart (Olin) of Cooperstown; his grandchildren, Jim Smith, Jr. (Katie), Madison, Alyssa, Tiffany, Dakota, Austin, Mike, II (Laura), Jayden, Olivia and Shawn; his great grandchildren, Priyanka, Presley, Logan, Alex, Lucas, Wyatt, Hailey and Leo; and his mother-in-law Marie Comstock. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
