He was predeceased by: his sister Victoria Brickowski; and his sister-in-law Nancy McKenna. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Baviello; his children, Stephen Vano (Patty) of Yonkers, Peter Vano (Gerri) of Mahopac, Lisa Dumas (Charles) of Briarcliff Manor and Julie O'Toole (Hugh) of Madison, CT.; his grandchildren, Stephanie Vano (Chris), Michael Vano, Jennifer Vano, Peter Vano, Lexi Dumas, Ryan O'Toole, Carly Dumas, Kyle Vano, Ian O'Toole and Emma O'Toole; his sisters, Florence Golio, Marianna Smith and Edith Wren-Vano; and his brother-in-law George Baviello (Marie).

Donations can be made to Sacred Heart Church in Dobbs Ferry.
