He is survived by: his wife Betty James; his son Eric James; his stepsons, Erskine Rivers (Jennifer) and Ronald Rivers; and his grandchildren, Michael, Lisa, Jennifer, Tanya, Rahsaan, Damien, Alisha and Jonelle.
