He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Harriet Glass Goldenberg; his sons, Dr. Edward Goldenberg (Anna) and Stuart Goldenberg (Linda); his grandchildren, Liza Goldenberg, Lauren Goldenberg (Jake Constantine), Christine Bahrmasel, Dr. Neal Goldenberg (Rebecca), Dr. Rebecca Spitzer (Ken) and Mark Goldenberg; his great grandchildren, Noah Goldenberg, Ella and Sophia Spitzer; his sibling Shirley Goldenberg; and his brother-in-law Dr. David M. Goldenberg (Cindy).

Memorial contributions preferred to the Humane Society of Missouri.
