He was predeceased by: his brother Donald F. John; and his parents, Floyd G. Doolittle and Fola Croissant Doolittle. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey F. (Deniz S.), Jo-Cinda R. Evans (William) and Lydia J. Doolittle; his grandchildren, Mikala R. Evans, John D. Evans (Leah), Joseph J. Doolittle, Jessica J. Maier (Brandin), Joshua J. and Jeffrey J. Doolittle; his great grandchildren, Maxon H. Evans, Carter M. Evans and Sofia M. N. Maier; his sister Peggy J. Meyer (John); his pet Annie; and his wife Cynthia Heise.
