He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugo Swan and Mary Jones Swan; his son Keith Swan; and his siblings, Harold, James, Hugh, Francis Swan, Evelyn Foster, Edith Gerring, Martha Jean Barton, Clara Boland and Josephine Thomas.
He is survived by: his son Lake Chautauqua; his wife Joan Shelgren Swan; his children, Wendy (David Nelson), Craig Swan of Dewittville, NY and Brian Swan of Sinclairville, NY; his grandsons, Roger Nelson (Sabrina) of Bonnieville and Aaron Nelson (Lockhee) of Leitchfield, KY; his great grandchildren, Xzander, Zavier Nelson, Aiden and Ena Nelson; and his brother Edwin Swan of Syracuse. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
