She was predeceased by: her parents, L. Webster Frayer and Esther Frayer (Dodd). She is survived by: her husband James F. Hyla, MD; her daughter Stephanie Hyla of Dewitt; her brother William Frayer of Pound Ridge, NY; and her brother-in-law Robert Hyla (Ellen).
In lieu of flowers, an endowed scholarship fund is being established at the University of Michigan School of Education in Sherri's honor.
