We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Joy A. Eckert (Hamburg, New York), born in Lackawanna, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son Gerald Eckert; and her brother Fred. She is survived by: her daughters, Colleen Kaszubowski (Daniel) and Julie Tellier; her grandchildren, Benjamin, Alison (Lawrence), Jacob, Madison and Hayden; her great grandchild Riley; and her siblings, Kathleen, Jean, Jacqueline, Sharon, Ellen and Dennis. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lakeside Memorial Hamburg Chapel (4199 Lake Shore Rd, Hamburg, NY 14075). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Some of Joy's favorite things to craft were winter hats which she would donate to various organizations and schools, as well as hundreds of baby sweaters and hats.
