He was predeceased by: his sister Nancy Louise Shepherd; and his parents, Charles A. Shepherd and Jean L. Shepherd. He is survived by: his partner Dennis M. Bernhard; his sister Susan Romano (Peter); his nieces and nephews, Sadie Williams and Kelly Romano; his siblings-in-law, Bob Bernhard (Nancy), Pat, Ronnie (Sue), Dianne, Gary Bernhard, Rose Headly (John), Linda Bouvier (Ed), Karen Nordine and Tom Bernhard (Doug); and his friend David Diehl.
