He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gifford and Elizabeth Gifford (Meyer); his stepmother Grace Gifford; his daughter Betty Gifford; his granddaughter Shauna Fiumera; his great grandchild A. C. Tiffany; and his siblings, Catherine Johnson, Marjorie Gifford, Mary Gifford, Richard Gifford Sr. and Vincent Gifford.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Gifford of Deposit, NY; his children, Bill (Carole Anne Gifford), Dave Gifford of Deposit, NY, Joe (Karen Gifford), Vicki (Doug Tiffany) and Jane (Pete Meneilly); and his sisters, Judy Robertson of Lake Lamoka, NY and Patsy Gifford of Groton, NY. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
