It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry W. Gerdes in Depew, New York, born in Ponca, Nebraska, who passed away on February 27, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George William and Minnie Gerdes (Panhorst); and his brother Wayne Gerdes. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Scott Gerdes (Michelle) of Gasport, Lisa Lane (Paul) of Avon, Katie Gerdes of Middleport, Matthew Heller (Tabitha) of Hornell, Tracey Thomas of Canandaigua, Craig Heller (Janice Philips) of Hornell and Kurt Thomas of Seneca Castle; and his grandchildren, Evan Gerdes, Sofia Gerdes, Kassy Heller, Cory Heller, Tyler Phillips, Moriah Pollen (Darren), Jackson Lane and Nora Lane. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, and nephews, along with his extended family.
