He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn M.; his son Jeffrey; his parents, Laurence Gauthier and Eva Gauthier; and his sister Helen LaGoe.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory (Patricia), Michele Gauthier (Timothy), Rowe, Cynthia (Jason) and John Jr. (Dawn); his grandchildren, Lawrence, Shannon, Andrew, Jeffery, Thomas and Matthew; his great grandchild Aiden; and his siblings, Lawrence (Laura), Beverly Johnson Taylor, Robert (Sue), Ronald, Michael (Jane), Joan Cooper Streer and Bernice Compo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WNY Heroes, Inc. or Roswell Park Alliance Foundation.
