He was predeceased by: his son Michael Bondgren; and his siblings, Carol Banzer (late Bill), Rosemary Henley (late Richard), Maryann McGuire (Marty) and John Boskat (Barbara).

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Baker (David), Ed and Amy McLaughlin (Nick); his grandchildren, April, Aurora, Magena, Ashley, Lucas and Logan; and his friend Cathy Bondgren.
