He was predeceased by: his wife Diane; and his daughter Crystal Richards. He is survived by: his close friend Shirley Palmieri; his daughter Amanda Roth (Scott); his grandchildren, Liam and Hailey Roth; and his siblings, Marie Patrzyk (Richard), Jane Refermat (late Mike), Edmund (Gloria), David and Charles Richards (Yvonne). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
